The Shinetsu Five Mountains Trail 110km (Shinetsu in short) is a very popular ultra-distance trail running race in Japan that sells out in a matter of minutes every year. The race is named after the 5 mountains that exist in the Shinetsu highlands in Japan. These mountains have long been deeply intertwined with the lives of the people residing at the base of these mountains and are seen by many as a sacred place. With a course of 110km, it’s the longest amongst domestic trail running races in Japan.

Sellaronde Trail Running 2015

Sellaronde Trail Running 5th edition

Last weekend, September 12, the fifth edition of Sellaronde Trail Running was held. With more than 300 runners representing over 15 countries, from Europe to the United States and as far as Peru. All gathered in the Ladin valleys in the Dolomite mountains in Italy for a technically challenging race, with its 59 kilometers and 3,378 meters in altitude.
