[wpcol_1half]– Nike Air Magma Stone
– Via Foot Time[/wpcol_1half] [wpcol_1half_end]The Magma was originally inspired by a 1978 expedition by two men who set out to climb K-2, the second highest mountain in the world after Mount Everest. The climbers wanted something more lightweight to make them move faster so they decided to return to base camp wearing Nike LDV runningshoes. Before hearing this tale Nike had no intention of making hiking boots, but they got to thinking that if they had the technology to help world-class athletes run faster and farther, why couldn’t they do the same for those who trek the deserts, river valleys and glacial moraines?
Three years later, the Magma was born as a part of the original outdoor boot pack. This was before the birth of the ACG collection. Now the Nike Air Magma is back at it once again. This Stone version gives the shoe a bit of a used and old feeling.[/wpcol_1half_end]
